BOLD TEACHING. EXCEPTIONAL LEARNING.

Technology in the Classroom

BILL GATES

“Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is most important.”

Latest Technology

At Anton Bruckner International School we believe that technology plays an important and integral role in supporting learning in all subject areas.  As part of the IB Program, our children learn how to best use the vast amount of information that is available, while developing skills to critically evaluate the information they find.  During the Unit of Inquiry, children utilize technology to conduct research and present the findings in increasingly creative ways.

Student Activities

Our students use several programming incubation initiatives like Scratch (developed by MIT), code.org, Grook Learning and many others.

We also have sessions on programming micro controllers and robots.

Apple & Windows Products

There are many options we choose to deliver our lessons.

The school makes use of laptops and iPads to collaborate in groups, in addition to a diverse set of applications we decide to configure our devices every new school year.  From academic year 2019/20 all PYP classes use iPads. MYP classes will have either iPad/laptops.

GSuite Education & More

We use Google Classroom, Managebac and SeeSaw depending on the grades and needs to boost collaboration and improve communication between the teacher and the student.

Our technological experience is seamless and thoughtful

Using technology is for us more than just putting the tools into the classroom. Our main intention is engaging students, changing the dynamics and as well encouraging student-centered learning. By using different tool to accomplish assignments we motivate our students to achieve a deeper content understanding.

The key is to foster creativity and to learn to be responsible Net citizens that use technology as part of their daily lives.
